For data protection purposes, Sinecure Agentic Ltd is the controller of your personal data. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, registration number ZC260261.
What we collect
If you start a free week, we store your email address, the industries you choose and the date you signed up, and, if you give them, your colleagues’ email addresses and your practice’s details. If you subscribe, our payment provider, Stripe, processes your payment details. We never see your card number.
Our lists contain information from the public register of UK companies: company names, registered office addresses (for many new companies this is the founder’s home), industry codes and the names of company directors. We do not include dates of birth, or the residential addresses directors give Companies House privately.
To contact accountancy practices about our service, we use business contact details published by those practices (for example on their websites) and company information from the public register. The link in our emails to practices includes a short reference, so we know which practice visited our website. We do not store anything on your device.
Why, and on what legal basis
We provide lists to subscribers under our contract with them. We process director names from the public register, and contact practices about our service, on the basis of our legitimate interests, having balanced these against the interests of the people concerned. We only send unsolicited emails to incorporated companies, never to sole traders or partnerships. Subscribers who contact new companies are responsible for doing so lawfully, including offering an opt-out.
If you are a director of a company listed by us and would like your details excluded, email [email protected] and we will remove them from future lists.
Who we share it with
Our website, email and payment providers process data on our behalf: free-week sign-ups are stored securely with Cloudflare, which hosts this website, our email is provided by Zoho, and payments are handled by Stripe. We do not sell or rent your details.
How long we keep it
Until you stop our emails or ask us to delete your data. We keep a record of anyone who has asked us to stop, so that we do not contact them again. If a free week ends without a subscription, we keep the email address and sign-up date for up to two years, so that each practice has one free week.
Your rights
You can stop our emails at any time by replying “stop” to any of them, or ask us to access, correct or delete your data by emailing [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
